School Connections

The Link Counseling Center, a non-profit organization, opened its doors in 1971 with one mission: to be a refuge of healing, of clarity, or inspiration for those who come seeking help with the trauma, loss and pain of difficult life experiences. Throughout the decades, The Link has supported many Atlanta metropolitan schools.

The Link provides support to students, teachers and administration when a school is facing a crisis or loss.

The Link also provides grief education for classroom teachers and school counselors.

The Link Counseling Center recognizes the important role that schools play in

the emotional health of their students.

We provide

  • Consultations for School Counselors and Staff

  • Free grief consults for children, teens and their families

  • An on-site crisis support team

  • Classroom speakers on various mental health topics

  • Field Trip Program- Bring your class to learn more about feelings, their impact and healthy coping skills. Take a tour of The Link's special meeting place for children: "The House Next Door", with its volcano room, labyrinth and gardens. Participate in a fun and educational play and art therapy experience!
